“Disappointed with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. I saw negative reviews before we arrived but kept an open mind. The hallways have stains everywhere and the walls have scuff marks all over. When we got to our room, we noticed a used flosser near the bed, some hairs in the bathroom, and unfortunately a clipped toenail near the seat by the window. Overall, the floors just looked neglected. Our shower was also in desperate need of drain cleaning, water would stand for 30 minutes after showering. When we got to our room to get our things before check out, it smelled like sewage, so I’m grateful we got out. The pool was nice, but again the cleanliness was underwhelming with a lot of sand at the bottom. Positives: the front desk employee was very nice, we were able to check in about 5 hours early. Location is pretty good and central to a lot of downtown. The rooms are nicely designed. It wasn’t a nightmare or anything, but disappointing from Marriott.”

“Casual hotel with minimal amenities located in the historic district. It’s a good location to a lot of the main sites, including City Market and Franklin Square. We tried checking in early around noon but there weren’t any rooms available at that time, so we went for lunch and then came back later. It was odd that the receptionist told us that we should’ve called ahead of time to check in, even though she was the same person who told us that we needed to come back at 1:15 and she’d get us a room. We ended up getting a king bed rather than two queens so we could check into an available room. There was an issue with receiving the towels we requested as well. We had asked for extra towels and pillows via the app on our last evening, but then 15 hours later and two phone calls to the front desk, we still didn’t receive the towels. We did get a late check out (1pm) as a result of the delay. Note that they don’t have any individually packed toiletries. There is a gym and indoor pool. There is also an area by reception to hang out and play games (including pool). Overall, it’s a reasonably priced spot considering the proximity to attractions, but there were a couple of issues that you may want to be aware of, including response time.”
