“This is the first review I have ever written, but I knew I had to write one as soon as we left. Upon checking in the receptionist said we had a great room in front of the lake. What we didn’t know is that the lake looks like a swamp. The lake is unclean and we knew that this was not a good start to the trip. The first night there we cleaned the room ourselves because it felt dirty. Lampshades had stains, wall in bathroom had mold. Since we couldn’t cancel to get our money back we bought a bathroom shower May just so we could take showers and not feel completely gross. We used our own blankets to sleep on, and we did not walk around without shoes on. Our first night there we only had one towel in the bathroom. My boyfriend went to the front desk to nicely ask for more towels since there were four of us in the room. They said they would bring them to our room right away. Two hours go by and still no towels. We tried using the hotel phone to call the front desk, but it was missing buttons and did not work. I tried calling but the phone just kept ringing. After 10 minutes Kevin answered and said he would personally see to it that we got towels- I never saw Kevin. I finally took a shower at 11:30 after walking to the front desk and speaking to a rude receptionist, and then grabbing a worker who was riding a golf cart with towels. We stayed here for 4 nights and in total saw 6 cockroaches. We tried calling and we tried going to the front desk but there was no one there to help us. This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. I am writing this so if you have a reservation you can cancel or really think about staying here. The one positive thing that I will say is that it is very close to Disney World. If you’re staying with family and going on vacation, I would highly recommend not staying here and ruining your vacation.”

“Rude manager sold my husband and I an illegal room. Buyers beware!
Upon checking into the hotel, we were greeted by a rude associate at the counter. I just signed the deposit and went to the room to find that there was dirt everywhere, dirty laundry strewn across the property, a sprinkler system held together by electrical tape, and a fire detector that had clearly been altered.
Being the irked guest that I was, I demanded to speak to a manager and lo and behold, guy who sold me the room was somehow the manager. Some fat guy with glasses and an accent. Whatever.
I explained my situation and he explained to me that there was a ticket in for it. I said "All this aside, you do know it's against the law to sell me a room like this, right?" He went off saying how he had a degree in law, how it's not illegal to sell me the room but it's illegal for anyone to tamper with it, guest or hotel, how he'd do an investigation and press charges against me and the audacity of this ma , he told me that he was somehow doing me a favor by trying to work with me. I said I don't care about your law degree, check me out before I call the police.
He rudely refused to give me back my deposit and had ordered me to leave the property and drop off my key. I told him "I'm getting my stuff from my room before I go." Dude called security to try and escort me to my room and off the premises. Don't know where his guy went, but I went back to my room and my room key still worked. I came back after getting my things and said "Don't know where your guy went, but I got my stuff. Have a good day. The police have been called."
Don't stay here, even if your life depended on it! This "manager" is violating code and I will have this place shut down!”

You get what you pay for. My only big complaint is the misleading pricing online. You will definitely pay more than 20$. More like 70-80$. But, we assumed that. You get your deposit back. The beds were clean and comfy. No the phone doesn’t work, no there aren’t plugs to plug up electronics, but they do have a nice pool! We’re are grateful they accommodated us very last minute after a bad experience at destiny palms. Great staff, very kind gentleman at the front desk yesterday. All in all, it’s a place to sleep. It’s not luxury:P

I got the standard room with the two double beds. The room I had was decent, but it would have been nice if there were a light switch near the door so that you wouldn't have to fumble around in the dark to turn on a lamp. The staff was very nice.
Like many of the other reviews for this hotel, I agree that this place is a nice, cheap place to stay if you need somewhere to crash short-term to or from Disney World, but don't expect five-star conditions.
Lastly, just know that you will be charged an additional $11 resort fee and a $7.54 service charge for booking the room through a 3rd party site. They inform you before pay, but the print is very small.

I read the reviews after paying a non refundable room fee for 3 nights. Based on the reviews I was afraid to go and expected the worst. I was pleasantly surprised. Although the carpets were stained, the room was clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. My room smelled nice. The air worked nicely, as well as, the power. It clearly an older facility, but for the price I paid, it was well worth it. It’s also so close to everything. The gentleman at the desk was extremely nice!
