“Reservei este quarto por duas noites por mês antes da minha estadia em junho pela Agoda. Paguei mais de 97% do quarto e impostos quando reservei em maio e o restante (US$ 14) era devido no check-in. Recebi e-mails confirmando o custo total dos quartos e o valor inicial cobrado. Tudo parecia simples e correto. No check-in, a equipe do hotel tentou me cobrar o valor total e me disse que eu não havia pago nenhuma parte do meu quarto. Mostrei a eles os e-mails indicando quanto paguei junto com a transação do cartão de crédito do início de maio. Pediram que eu voltasse no dia seguinte para confirmar os valores. Este processo levou mais de 30 minutos com a equipe no dia 1. No meu segundo dia, vi uma cobrança de $ 177 no meu cartão de crédito. Voltei para a recepção para pedir-lhes para confirmar quanto era a retenção para incidentes e quanto eu seria creditado no check-out. “I booked this room for two nights a month before my June stay through Agoda. I paid 97+% of the room and taxes when I booked in May and the remainder ($14) was due at check in. I received emails confirming the total cost of the rooms and the amount I was initially charged. All appeared simple and correct.
At check-in the hotel staff tried to charge me the entire amount and told me that I had not paid any portion of my room. I showed them the emails indicating how much I paid along with the credit card transaction from early May. They asked that I come back the next day to confirm the amounts. This process took over 30 minutes with the staff on day 1.
On my second day, I saw a charge of $177 on my credit card. I went back to the front desk to ask them to confirm how much was the hold for incidentals and how much I would be credited at check out. They said I would be charged roughly $115 of the $177 and the remainder refunded. This math made no sense and even after I showed them my email with the total amount my stay should be booked for the two nights, they really struggled to get the right charges on my card. I spent almost 45 min waiting and dealing with the incompetent staff on the second day. Total wasted time dealing with incompetence was an hour and 15 min. Not what I wanted to do during my two night stay. UPDATE: after 5 days after the refund was pending on my credit card statement, it was removed. I called the hotel and no surprise, the staff were not helpful. They claimed it was processed on their end and I should call my credit card. I called the credit card and they said the merchant likely reversed the refund. This has been the worst experience I've ever encountered with a hotel. I do not recommend this hotel due to the incompetent staff.”
