Beautiful resort, however if staffing is an issue, don’t book hotel at capacity. We had significant room service issues- staff didn’t clean room for entire first day, even after calling multiple times. Following day, they cleaned room and didn’t replenish toilet paper. Trash cans throughout pool were full through stay and staff would leave finished plates for hours at the pool. Thankfully, the elite desk provided an apology and afforded some refunds to us for the experience. I stay at marriotts weekly. Highly impressed with the grounds, golf course and the service we received at restaurants. The management needs to work on some of the significant service elements to make me feel confident returning here.

My wife and I came here for a relaxing getaway and were very pleased! What I really appreciated was despite the fact that the resort hosted two large conferences during our stay (one of was the EY conference, which I was told was one of the largest in the area), they did a great job of keeping the loud party scene of the conference attendees separate from the rest of the hotel guests, who looking for a more laid back vibe. The rooms were spacious and clean, the grounds were immaculate, and the staff was incredibly kind. Highly recommend!

First off we look forward to our yearly visit to the JW in palm desert. When we checked in we were upgraded to a suite which was nice. Problem was when we got to the suite we could not open the door without a big push and to get out a big pull. The other problem was the AC it was not working. We called downstairs for someone to fix or a room change. John from Engineering was immediately up to see what he could do. Marriott is darn lucky to have such a wonderful employee. John went over and above to please us. More so than the front desk IMHO. He got the AC working like a charm and said the door would need to be shaved down to open and close correctly. He was instrumental in getting us a room change and even went over to the new room to make sure everything was working. John went over and beyond his job duties to accommodate us as guests and we would like to recognize him for his efforts. He is one of many behind the scenes employees who add to the comfort of Marriott’s guests. Other recognition goes to the staff at the Rockwood Grill for breakfast. They are all happy to help and friendly. Another enjoyable stay here in the desert

The hotel is beautiful. The main entrance has a incredible view as soon a you come in. I like that they have good amount of activities to try while you are at the hotel and they are all included while you stay here. Plenty of pools to chose from. Good selection of restaurants to dine in. My only issue it was with the room that we got. I feel like it was a bit smaller of what they advertised. Overall We had a good time and We will definitely come again.

I stayed here for a weekend with my best friends and we had a great time! I contacted Veronica in Guest Relations and she and her team were truly amazing! She exceeded our expectations and left us with the best note upon our arrival. The pool was great! It was hard to get service but walking over to the bar wasn’t too bad. The food and drinks were good. Every staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The tequila drink at the restaurant in the main lobby was so good I’m thinking of making another trip there soon! Overall it was my 2nd visit to this hotel and I loved our stay once again!
